5 Reasons Autumn is Awesome

It’s difficult to believe but September is nearly over and we are a week or so away from being fully enveloped in the Autumn weather. To be quite frank, I couldn’t be more excited – Autumn is my favourite season and if it isn’t yours, I may be able to persuade you by the end of this post.

  1. Pumpkin Spiced Lattes
Yes. Basic white girl I know but there is nothing better than the first drops of a pumpkin spiced latte touching your lips in September. Warm, spicy and fruity, it combats the harshest of autumn winds.

  2. Autumnal Attire
Boots. Jumpers. Scarves. Hats. Coats. You can never have too many cosy clothes. All the more opportunity to outfit co-ordinate and create cute OOTD posts on instagram. From a long coat and knee high boots to a wooly hat & scarf with a leather jacket – the possibilities are endless! After all, who doesn’t love layers?

  3. Festivities
It’s only 38 days until Halloween then 43 days until bonfire night. Besides Christmas they are the most joyous events of the year – bringing warmth and happiness when the weather is bitter.
  4. Food
Now we’re not all obsessing over our summer bodies, we can finally eat all the comfort foods we desire. There’s nothing quite like digging in to a butternut squash soup or a meaty casserole with soft bread. And of course, roast dinners galore. *Only 47 days until Gregg’s Festive Bake is released again!*
  5. Entertainment
Now by entertainment, I mainly mean TV programmes. My favourite being American Horror Story. It’s already out in the States but the latest season airs in the UK on 27th September, plenty of time to get inspired for a Halloween outfit. There’s also X Factor at the weekends if you’re into that kind of thing.

There are hundreds of other reasons I could come up with as to why Autumn is great but I didn’t want to bore you all. Anything I’ve missed? What makes your autumn amazing?
